Your sidebar — the left-hand column in Superlist — is the primary way to navigate your lists and tasks. If you’re new to Superlist, here’s a quick overview of the sidebar, starting from the top.

  • Today: Keep track of daily tasks and see which tasks are overdue

  • Inbox: This is where you’ll find open tasks that have been assigned to you, both by yourself and others. You can also create tasks in your inbox and manually curate tasks that should show up here, even if they’re not assigned to you.

  • Messages: View all messages added to tasks you’ve created, been assigned to, or been mentioned in.

  • Lists: See all lists you have access to. Your lists will be sorted alphabetically, but you can quickly filter by typing into the search field.

  • Tasks: See all tasks you have access to. From here, you can view tasks assigned to you, tasks assigned to others, upcoming tasks, and completed tasks.

  • Sections: Organize your lists into themed sections and make them accessible via the sidebar. Lists without sections will be available under All lists.

  • Quick command: Create tasks from any view by clicking New task. You can also open quick command by pressing Shift + Option + Space on your keyboard.

  • Settings: Click the gear icon next to your user avatar to open your settings. From there, you can update your personal details, customize the app’s appearance, and configure integrations.
