With our Gmail integration, you can automatically turn emails into Superlist tasks.

Connect your Gmail account

You can connect multiple Gmail (or Google Workspace) accounts to Superlist. Here’s how:

  • Click on Settings and navigate to Integrations.

  • Locate Gmail in the list and click Configure.

  • Select Sign in with Google and a new window will open.

  • Choose the account you’d like to connect. Make sure you allow Superlist to read, compose, and send emails from your Gmail account.

  • Click Continue or Allow to connect your account.

Create tasks from Gmail

Superlist automatically creates tasks from starred emails, emails marked as important, and emails with the “Superlist” label. You can enable or disable these options from your integration settings. Tasks added from Gmail will include:

  • The Gmail icon, so you can quickly identify the source. Clicking on the icon will take you to the original email.

  • The email subject line as the task title.

  • The email contents in the task details. (Note that text with special formatting might not appear.)

  • A dedicated label so that you can find and filter tasks from Gmail. (Note that you can change this label to whatever suits you best.)

All tasks created from Gmail will appear in your inbox. Just like with other tasks, you can update the due date, labels, assignee, and details, and drag them into other lists.

Summarize your emails

Only want the most important details sent from your email? Automatically generate summarized task details from using Content Modification.

To use the feature, go to SettingsIntegrationsGmail. Scroll down to Content Modification and toggle “Summarize email.”

Once turned on, any Gmail-created tasks will include an AI-assisted summary instead of the exact content from the email.

Manage emails from Superlist

Once you’ve created or completed a task created from Gmail, you can choose what happens to the original email. Either keep the email as is, delete it, or archive it. These settings will apply to all connected Gmail accounts.

Disconnect a Gmail account

Connected accounts will appear at the top of the Gmail configuration page. To remove an account, simply click the Disconnect button to its right. Any current tasks created from that account will remain in Superlist, but no new tasks will be automatically created.
